In February 2008, Thanda launched an After-School Project for Orphans of AIDS and other vulnerable children in rural KwaZulu-Natal. Targeted primarily at High School aged children, the program includes computer education, soccer, basketball, arts, netball, academic support and community assistance. |

Over 200 preschool aged orphans of AIDS are part of this Thanda supported program. The children receive math and English instruction, food, clothing and supervision, allowing their older siblings to stay in school. |

Tanda Zulu is our jewelry store which launched in late 2006. Through the website and various retail outlets across the country, Tanda Zulu raises money for Thanda programs while supporting the Zulu Beadwork Project, a network of women in rural South Africa who are able to achieve financial independance through their beadwork. |
